OF COCHABAMBA: THE TROPICAL ZONE
Villa Tunari:
Near from Cochabamba, at 150 km only and at an altitude of 298
meters above
sea level, is a wonderful natural setting that offers tourists
excellent areas for fishing, hunting and water sports. One of
the country's most beautiful regions is found in the Cochabamba
department's northern region, in the Chapare province. Villa Tunari
is the most colorful stage of the Chapare because the road goes
like a snake in the mountains, and then goes down to the tropical
areas. The temperature is an average of 30º C. It is located
between two rivers: San Mateo and Espíritu Santo. There
are many natural springs amid the luscious vegetation of the Amazon.
Incachaca:
Located
at 93 Km. from Cochabamba at an altitude of 2.278 meters above
sea level. An old hydroelectric station of unique natural beauty,
situated 90 Km from Cochabamba. The river Malaga originates in
the high mountains and falls mold impressive cascades partially
underground named "Window and throat of the Devil" forming
natural water spring basins called the "Bath of Ñustas".
Corani Lake:
Located at 66 Km. from Cochabamba. Artificial pond of magic enchantment
where the altiplanos wind is transformed into a pleasant meeting
with the telluric and enigmatic, site of fishing and traditional
recreation.
