History of Cochabamba

Cochabamba is situated in a fertile valley, with a warm and gentle climate. It has always been a place appreciated by people who knew about the goodness of its floor and its prodigal nature. Its original settlers saw several times invaded their lands by others settlers until 1538 when the Spanish arrive to colonize the place. During the colonial period, Cochabamba was the stage for important economical and social battles. And it was on September 14th, 1810 when Cochabamba became independent. Cochabamba has always had an important participation in historical changes in our country like in the independence and the revolution in 1952 until our days.
